I think I'm going to blame it on being busy alot but really it takes like 5 minutes to make a post and sometimes I spend hours on the computer not doing anything productful. So I'll just be honest and say that I'm lazy most of the time .
I have quite a bit to talk about though... I had a awesome weekend and am excited for the next couple months.
Well friday was my cousin Nolans grad in Riverton so me and Jeremiah wanted to go so we did. on the way we went to Gimli to get our police reports done for camp, cause in winnipeg they cost $30 and take 2 weeks to get, where in gimli they were free and only took a minute to get. then i got a little confused and drove the wrong way on the # 9 but quickly realized this so we turned around but we were still late for the grad haha. well what can I say, the ceremony was good, Drew Anderson won like 75% of the awards which i automatically hated him for it( i dont really know him and have been told he actually deserved to win those). we wasted some time (4-5 hours) inbetween the ceremony and nolans afterparty doing various things like going to sandyhook beach and driving aimlessly, then we went to his party and it was awesome. it was good seeing people who I dont usually see too often, so we had a great time.
then saturday we woke up and ate some leftover food from the night before and killed some time watching the movie hardball which I felt choked up during lol, then it was off to Morweena for there grad accompanied by my dear cousin Dayna. we were shocked to see Earl and Ramona there, which was awesome that they were there as i thought she was going to still be in the hospital or at least still in Toronto. it was awesome seeing randy, ralph, and sara graduate as they were part of ldc which was a life changing event for me. i really wish i could spent more time with randy and ralph but as they live 2 1/2 hours away we havent really spent that much time together.
i have bunch more to talk about but i think im going to wait until tomorrow...
i have some awesome stories i want to tell about the power of god but ill wait until tomorrow.

crazy weekend
60 km canoe
As some of you know I went on a canoe trip this weekend. This was one of the craziest weekends of my life. Challenging and as you will find out very weird. I went with Paul, Ethan and Jeremiah
Day 1(thursday)
We get on the road at about 6 pm meet one of Paul's friends who leads us to her cabin near lac du bonnet where we pick up a canoe. We get out at the lake around 9ish paddle for a couple hours, then do the 2 worst portages ever. OK, normally these portages are really wimpy one is 350 M and the other is like 150 M, but this was not what its like normally. ok so we paddled up to the first portage no biggy, but its pretty much pitch black no moon and a fine haze over everything. so were at the portage, most of the landing is under water but we manage to land, we get out and start the portage. well the portage is up a fairly steep hill and the ground is mudish clay and it has been raining the few past days. now imagine the slipperiest thing you've ever been on. first we carried our packs over, (we planned on doing everything in one trip but decided that the path was too slippery). so we just carry our packs over, we fall down like a billion times and all our stuff gets covered in mud, we struggle to stay standing while we carry our stuff over, we are covered in mud. but we get through it and go back to get our canoe, even walking with nothing on we fall down, so we get the canoe and its pretty much the same old thing we fall down a lot luckily not getting too hurt. then we paddle a bit and get to the second portage, it is about 3 times as hard if you can imaging that. we paddle a bunch and get to our first campsite we pretty much set up the tent and go to sleep. none of us have a watch or a time telling device so we assume its about 1 am'ish. paul tells us that those 2 portages were the hardest hes ever been on, and when he says that you know it was hard.
day 2(friday) aka longest day of our life
we wake up at what seems to be 10ish(later we would find out it was probably more like 6-7), we pack up and set off for McGregor falls, we paddle a bunch more and meet up with a school group which happens to be my schools canoe trip, they are on there way back. the current is strong. we head up towards the next portage we find out that the portage is completely over run by the falls so we have to make our own trail through the forest which is difficult and we lose our way a bunch and get caught in a dead end of wilderness. this portage is probably about 300 m through the bush. finally we get to the coolest campsite ever, right next to the falls, we set up and fish a bunch, we eat supper of farmer sausage and fettuccine alfredo( yes we eat good even though we pack light). and it takes what seems like forever to come dark but it does and we are tired so we go to sleep.
day 3(saturday)
we didnt do a lot this day, we went to snowshoe lake and back for a nice day trip, did some fishing, we caught about 16 fish so the average was 4 fish per person, I caught 3, 2 walleye, 1 pike. i had the biggest of those 2 species a 19" walleye and a 25" pike. Jeremiah caught a bass so he held the biggest in that category. we had fish and rotini noodles with a 4 cheese and tomato sauce. lit off some fireworks when it was dark, then went to bed.
day 4(sunday)
did it all over again, but this time the portages were dry and we could see where we were walking. so we get back we've done about 60Kms not too bad. and we start driving until we notice a bunch of cars parked on the side of the road, we drive a little farther and see a barricade, we get out to see whats going on. we find out that the road is washed out(you can read about it in todays paper (monday) and yesterdays(sunday)) and it will take 4- 10 days to fix it. it is the only road out there so we start freaking out, me and jeremiah have provincial English exams to do the next day/week. so after were done freaking out we go to the natural resource officers and they tell us we can get on a boat over to the other side but we have to leave our vehicles over on this side so thats what we end up doing. we still need someone to pick us up, we call about 6 people ring ring ring no ones home so we call our senior pastor, pastor ralph, hes home and will come pick us up, thank god. so we get in the boat and over to the other side. we havent eaten in hours so we are really hungry, so we go to the restaurant and order, they run out of hamburgers chicken fingers and fries but we manage to get the last of there burgers and fries even though i could only get one patty on my burger, we hear children working in the kitchen doing dishes and putting condiments on our burgers we laugh and joke that we are going to shut them down, we drop about 80 bucks at the restaurant/ store buying a tub of ice cream and eating to pass the time. 2 hours later pastor ralph comes and saves us. we felt like refugees
i have a ton of bug bites, a little bit of sunburn, dont have a car, and a story to tell.
so in conclusion that was a really long post and I hope that my English was alright
heres the news story and video
and heres a map of our trip
we nickname the portages ww2 ww1 and Vietnam

important intersection ahead
Well this may long weekend I went to a wedding in Cochrane Alberta and there was this one sign that kept on appearing in both Saskatchewan and Alberta, it kind of annoyed me because most of the time it wasn't really that big of a intersection, but I guess they weren't that bad considering that I am writing a post about it. well I started writing this post on that Tuesday, but haven't had time until today to finish it.
Lots has happened in that week, first and foremost I got baptized yesterday which was awesome, I felt the holy spirit. On Saturday I gave my 2 weeks notice at Boston pizza which felt very good for some reason, probably because I only had two days off that I didn't book off in the last month. I know that my choice to quit was one that I can live with and I told the manager I might want a job at the end of summer.
In the months ahead I have alot of intersections to turn at, as I am graduating, as I am prioritizing my time and money, as I am figuring out what path my life will take, as I am choosing what to hold onto and what to let go of.
My prayer is that I will keep my eyes on the prize and as cliche as it sounds ask myself what Jesus Christ himself would do
Here are my plans/ schedule for the next few months
May 31- June 3 canoe trip with youth boys
June 4,5,6 English exam
June 14-15 applied math exam
sometime in between 15th and 28th go on a canoe trip to war eagle lake
June 28th Grad
june 29th- july 1st either canoe trip or my cousins wedding or bcbc staff camp
july 1st-7th canoe trip
july 8th- aug 4th CAMP

so i didnt have that much time this weekend
So the post I said was coming this weekend is coming sometime this week but I'll just share my testimony
I grew up in a Christian home, and knew of salvation my whole life. The earliest recollection of becoming a Christian I have, was at pioneer clubs camp probably when I was 8 or so. Growing up I loved going to camp, and camp is probably one of my major influences. It showed me that you didn’t have to wear a suit to be a Christian. It was a place where you felt accepted.
The end of middle school and start of high school were probably the roughest years, I didn’t have any friends out of church, and most of my friends from church I only saw once or twice a week. I was kind of stuck in-between wanting to be a Christian and just giving up.
It was around this time that Paul Epp started teaching my Sunday school class, which was great for me. He for the most part wasn’t scared to ask hard questions even if he wouldn’t get answers. Looking back I don’t think it was answers he was looking for, just making us think about it.
My biggest influences have been camp and all the wonderful counselors that have counseled me, and this church with all the Sunday school teachers and people who just generally encouraged me.
Family has also been a pretty big influence, I’m so happy that I lived in a godly home, and have godly parents. And a great brother and sister and I have two awesome grandmas and lots of good uncle and auntie’s and cousins that have been a great influence on me.
I also want to thank all my friends who have been by my side through thick and thin.
This takes me to last summer, my camp offers a leadership development course. And I decided to take it. This week was the most spiritually challenging and uplifting week of my life. The speaker really challenged us to give our all for Jesus, and I learnt team and individual skills. Then later that month I counseled for a week at camp, and two of my kids decided to follow the lord that week which was a huge encouragement to me.
Tht first week was also the week that earl and Ramona Reimer our assistant directors found out that Ramona had cancer. It was tough even to hear that news but it has taught me to pray more passionately and has been an encouragement to get through my minor struggles.
So id like to encourage you to get involved with camp ministries maybe and if you have kids or grandchildren then try to get them to go to camp. Beaver creek is the camp I went to, and will be counseling at this summer.
I’ve spent the last 10 years struggling with god and will probably continue to struggle with him, so my prayer is that I will surrender everything to him
One of my favorite verses comes from Ephesians 2:4,5
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
I have made the choice of becoming baptized because I think Jesus called us to get baptized and to be disciples of him.
.thankyou. to all who have supported my decision
im getting baptized on may 27th and our service starts at 10:45 and there will be a potluck lunch after, anyone is welcome to come
